I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas. I hope you are enjoying it with your family and friends. We will have a very full house today and I am so looking forward to it! Chaos and all! HAHA! Remember today isn't about the presents we got or didn't get but about a baby who was born. This is something I have tried to instill in my kids from a very young age.
Does anyone have a white Christmas????

Monday after Christmas
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. We spent the day shopping with two of our kids today. We have this tradition of shopping the day after sales. Even Hubby takes the day off from work. I have all of my kids home for Christmas vacation and my two nieces are visiting from Minnesota. I'm not sure how much blogging I will be doing this week. Hope to catch up with everyone soon......

Away in a Manger.....
I know I have said this before but this is my favorite Nativity set for kids. Ok. It's my favorite for big people too.(Yes,that is Thomas the train going around the Manger. What you don't remember Thomas and boxcar from the Island of Sodor bringing the Wisemen to see baby Jesus? Yea, me neither. Bubby's love of baby Jesus is just as strong as his love of Thomas.) I bought this for my son's first Christmas and I have loved it ever since. I actually thought Bubby might be too old for it this year but he couldn't wait for Hubby to bring it down from the attic. It's the Fisher price special edition Nativity set. I believe what made it different from the rest was some of the animals have yarn hair. I think most of the sets have plastic hair.
Seriously how cute is that donkey's hair? It cracks me up every time I see it. He has some wild Bon Jovi Jersey hair happening. HA!
How precious is this Manger? Baby Jesus doesn't come out of the cradle but that's ok. It's never bothered Bubby.
Some more animals. Check out the sheep's head. Too cute.
Three wise men are we. Or wise people. I think the one might be a girl.
The removable Angel sits on top of the manager and plays"Away in a manager". When you push her down it also lights up the star. We totally wear out the batteries on this. I have a feeling this is going in his keepsake box. I just don't have the heart to part with it. Did I mention this set is plastic? My set that my grandmother gave me is not. My Wise man is currently headless. It looks like I will be replacing my set next year. If anyone has a Nativity set that would like to recommend I would love to hear about it.
P.S. If you are looking for the Fisher Price set I did find this one on line.

Let it snow.........
Saturday we spent most of the day waiting for our dusting big snow storm to come. Bubby and I passed the time by decorating the tree in the living room. We drove Princess to work. I was so excited for him to see the snow. Honestly the day went really slow waiting for the snow. It finally started coming down just before we had to take Foo-Foo to her friend's house. The smile on the little dude's face was priceless.
He and Foo-Foo just ran in the yard as the snow fell down. The ground was covered as Bubby was napping. I felt bad by the time he woke up it was too dark to play in the snow. We did take a walk around our hood. There is something about walking in the snow at night. Love it!
* Can you tell how much he loves his big sister?

Update
I finally got the Living room tree decorated. I should say we. Bubby helped me put take the hooks off the ornaments on the tree. We decided to decorate the tree while we waited for our first snow fall of the season.
Have you ever seen ornaments hung any better? I did go around the tree and take the double hangings off. When he was sleeping of course.

Show us your Trees
This week over at Kelly's Korner is show us your Christmas trees. I was so excited about this week. We love Christmas trees here. I don't have all of my trees up yet. We usually put up between 8 or 9. I only have 5 up.
This one is our dinning room tree. I like to decorate this one with my Longaberger tree trimming baskets.
A close up of our dinning room tree.
This is our living room tree. Notice there aren't any ornaments on it. I'm not sure if we are going to put any on it this year. We usually put glass ones on it. I'm afraid frick and frack(other wise known as my 2 1/2 year old son and my 18 month old neice) will spend most of the time taking them off the tree. LOL.
Our skinny mini foyer tree. This one gets blue and silver ribbons and balls.
Our family room tree. I like a smaller tree in this room so I don't have to move a lot of furniture. Our little guys toy box and ride on toys take up so much room. We also have one set up in our bedroom but I haven't taken any pichures of it yet. Hope you liked the tour of our Christmas trees. Don't forget to check out Kelly's tour.

Dec 1
24 more days until Christmas. I can't tell you how excited that makes me. I am a total Christmas person. I love the songs of the season. I love the excitement of the kids. I love the food. Yum! Pies, fudge, and cookies. We actually put a tree in every room of the house. I did realize the one thing we do not have. Advent calender. How the heck I forgot that, I have no idea. Geesh. I guess I know what I am shopping for.

Merry Christmas
I hope everyone has a great day with their families today. When I get a chance I will post the story how Santa came last night and placed a huge present on our porch for little Guy. So far nobody has confessed to leaving it. Ummmm......

It's beginning to look like......
A sick child for Christmas. Huh. The baby was cranky around dinnertime. I didn't think too much about it. When my 14 year was holding him and he started to doze, then we knew. The boy never stays still that long. I hope he feels better for Christmas. He is going to meet Poppy D(my Bio Dad) for the first time. I want poppy to see him when he is his usual charming self. Huh.

A few of my favorite things
The other day we were looking thru our Christmas decorations and found little guys Nativity play set. I had forgotten we bought him one last year. He was so little last year I just kept it in the box and stored it in the attic. I fell in love with this Nativity set the moment I saw it. I collect Nativity scenes and thought he just had to have one. This year this is the only one set up in the house. It's the only one he can't break. Mama decided to leave hers packed away this year. Because the dude can break things. LOL. Anyway this is the cutest set I have ever seen for toddlers. The animals have real hair. The donkey has a mohawk. Baby Jesus has a light that shines down on him. It evens plays away in the manger. I have even noticed my teenagers playing with this thing. The table he is using? Mine. I have a picture of me(trying to upload it on the blog)playing with my tea set at that table. I recently discovered it was taken a few days after Christmas, many ,many years ago. We are almost the same age in the photo. Little guy and I were born in the same month a few days and a few years apart. *Wink* Lets just say I was born in the 70's and he was not. LOL. The stories that table could tell.

Timber
I should have known. It was too good to last. Here at the 'burg house we put a tree in everyroom. Yes. Even the bathrooms. Why? Well,I am allergic to pine and cinnamon. As my kids say, I am allergic to Christmas. LOL. I feel bad we can't have a real tree so I put a fake one in every room. This year with Guy being 18 months old we decided to put a small tree in our familyroom and the larger one in the livingroom. I thought it would be safer. Yea right. I only took my eyes off of him for 3 seconds. I turned back to see that little tree falling on my little King Charles Cavalier. The ornaments went flying. All to the sound of little feet running across the room. Followed by a little voice,OH. Two little eyes looking at me almost saying,I don't know what happened.
How many more days until Christmas?
