Aloha Friday......

It's Friday and that can only mean one thing. It's time again for Aloha Friday. This week's question is:

In our techy filled world is there anything you do that is still old school? I am probably one of the few people who still use a personal paper calendar. I never gave it much thought until yesterday. I was at the Christian school trying to sign ny son up for classes while the Secretary was on the phone with the pre-school teacher. The teacher was trying to set up a time when I could come in and tour the school. I knew I had appointments on the days she wanted me to come in but couldn't remember the times they were. If I had them on my iphone I could have just pulled up ical and made the appointment. I personally just like to see it written down on paper somewhere. I feel I have a better chance at remembering something that way. Weird for someone who uses an iphone and facebooks, twitters, and checks her email when not home.

Don't forget to head over to Island's place and answer her question of the week.

I still have a paper planner. I think the teacher in me still finds it easiest to look and see everything in front of me, rather than fiddling with my phone.

I know it's double work but I have both online and paper calendars, work folders with copies of what is online just in case.

I still write appointments on a paper calendar - I like being able to just glance at it to see what's coming up, since I tend to forget that I've also added them to my electronic one. ;)

We're still huge fans of sending snail mail. Especially greeting cards. ;)

I also use a paper planner! I still prefer grocery lists on paper as well.
