I'm so sorry I haven't been around lately. Hopefully that will change soon. I hope everyone had a great day with family and friends today.

Winters last hurrah.....

Look what arrived yesterday/night. This past week we had temperatures in the 50's almost 60's and today this awaited us.My son trying to be helpful put his wet coat on our pellet stove to dry and never told us. Yep. Melted the zipper. So thankful it didn't burn more. Unfortunately it was his good LL Bean coat. Sigh. I am totally ready for Spring.

Here's looking at you kid! Said in my best Bogart voice,of course. This is how I found my dog when I walked into the family room. My son apparently thought the dog looked better wearing an Indiana Jones hat. That dog refused to move until I took that hat off of him. Ha!

We are having a quiet day/night waiting to to see if the weather men are right in their predictions on storm Nemo. How can they be wrong? They are right 90% of the time. Ok. That might have been the biggest whopper I have ever told. Ha! The original prediction for this nor'easter was it was suppose to start last night with freezing rain. Many schools already called off school last night expecting the worst, of course all we had was rain. Stores were crazy. Everyone rushing out to get their milk,bread,&eggs. I guess everyone loves French toast. ;) snow finally started around 7. So far it's a very fine snow. It's hard to tell if it's going to be the amounts they are predicting. Tomorrow should be fun! Hope everyone is safe tonight!

Super Bowl Sunday

This what we are watching right now. Not looking good for the Niners. 21-3 at the half. Who am I kidding? I'm only watching for the commercials anyway. Haha! We are not having a party or going to a party. Hubby was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. I still have a head cold/sinus infection. We have not been anywhere all weekend. I think I haven't been out of the house since Tuesday. Yikes! My 17 year old has been raging off and on for 3 days so it's been a long weekend. She doesn't understand how pneumonia can affect a cancer survivor who's cancer is of the immune system. I'm going to sit back and watch the rest of the game and pray for no more drama.

Still Here....

I had such high hopes for today. I was going to wake up feeling 100 percent better. I was going to go to my favorite Chamilia/Vera store. I was going to have my bracelet replaced. I'm not sure if I told the story or not but my bracelet broke when I was shopping a few weeks ago. Luckily I was in my car when it happened and felt it sliding off my wrist. You can not begin to imagine how upset I was. While trying to get my bracelet replaced I was going to pick up the new Vera Bradley promotion. A really cute coin purse shaped like a heart. Do I really need a coin purse? No. Kind of. Ok. I have an obsession for coin purses. I'm not sure why but it started when I was a little girl. Purses and coin purses. You can thank my Grandmother for that. The only other person who's love was stronger than mine. Anyhoo. Let's just say when I woke up I was not 100 percent. I was barely 50 percent. My daughter yelled,yes yelled, at 4:55am could someone turn off the alarm clock. As I shot out of bed soaked in sweat,I realized Hubby's side of the bed was empty. Not a good sign. I got up and looked for him. One step into the family room and I knew. The puke bucket said it all. Two parents down. Ugh. Sad to say not much of anything got done today and I'm not holding out much hope for tomorrow either. Pray we keep this virus to ourselves and not pass it on to the rest of the kids in our house.

Sick. Sick. Sick. Yep that sums me up this week. At least a got to enjoy our snow before I got sick.
