Wordless Wednesday

Something tells me this is a sneak peek into my future. He can't pass any car ride without asking to go on it. He has been naming makes and models of cars since he was 2 and a half years old. We live close to a car track and I think sometime in the next few years we will be spending our Saturdays there.

Wordless Wednesday

Over the weekend Hubby opened the pool. Unfortunately due to rain for a few days he was unable to put the pool chemicals in and turn on the pool pump. Today was our first sunny(read hot) day in a while. Bubby has been talking non stop about swimming in our pool. I figured since we couldnt swim in the big pool I would set up his old baby pool instead. Umm.. I didn't realize how much he's grown in the last few years. Yikes! I guess we know where this pool will be by the end of summer. :)

Update.....

We heard from my SIL at 1:30am this morning. My Mother in law didn't have a heart attack. Thank God. She has kidney stones that won't pass. According to the doctor the one is huge and they are going to have to watch it for a while. I didn't realize she was having discomfort for the last two weeks. I'm so thankful she went to the ER this time. Needless to say we were all dragging our butts this morning. Hubby had the worst of it. He had to leave for work at 5 am. Poor guy! I have a feeling it's going to be an early night for all of us tonight.

Mother's day

I wanted to wish everyone a happy Mother's Day. I was working on a post about today when we received a call that my Mother in law was taken to the hospital. Earlier this week my Mother in law wasn't feeling right. She was telling her sister how she felt and her sister told her that's how she felt before she had a heart attack. My sister in law and niece and her kids were all having Mothers day dinner with her when my MIL mention she felt like that again. After dinner they decided to take her up to the hospital and get checked out. She didn't want us to come up to the hospital. So here we sit waiting for my SIL to call with some kind of update. I hate waiting!

Please keep my Mother in law in your thoughts and prayers tonight. My daughters are freaking out about their Grandmom.

Aloha Friday

It's Friday so that can only mean one thing, it's time for Island's life question. My question to you this week is:

Would you ever allow your family to be on a reality show? We watch a lot of reality shows in the Burg house and it got me thinking. Would I allow cameras to follow my family's every move? To show us at our worst? No. I hate having my picture taken so there is no way I would ever be comfortable have a video camera in my face. I honestly believe a lot of those shows are staged. At least I hope so. I hate to think people actually act that way.

Prom

I know I haven't blogged much this week but we have been busy at the Burg house. My middle daughter Tornado graduated from Tech school and had her prom this weekend. Isn't her dress gorgeous??? It was kind of a bittersweet moment to realize this was her last Prom. In a few weeks she graduates from her high school and starts collage in the fall. Where did the time go? Wasn't it just yesterday when we brought her home from the hospital?

Enjoy your little ones while you can because before you know it they will be starting collage.

Aloha Friday

It's time again for Aloha Friday. This weeks question is:

What is your hobby? The thing you could not live without doing.  

I love to sew. I make Halloween costumes. I love to make clothes for the kids. When they were younger I would make clothes for their dolls. I think their American Girl dolls had more clothes then the rest of us. LOL. As the girls got older I started making purses and tote bags. They would have birthday parties and I would make bags as party favors. I loved doing that. I don't sew as much as I use to. Chasing after a pre-schooler takes up most of my days now. Honestly there are not a lot of cute boy clothing patterns. I do make him a Halloween costume every year. 

My second hobby is photography. I am a picture junkie. I love,love to take pictures. You can never take too many! I think it is to make up for the fact my parents didn't take a lot of pictures of me.

Thursday night

We are currently awaiting our middle daughter's graduation. Tonight she is graduating from her nursing tech school. In a few weeks she will be graduating from her high school. In our area you have the opportunity to attend a tech school as well as your regular high school. When she graduates she is planning on going to collage to become an oncology nurse. We are so proud of her.

Have to run. The ceremony is about to begin. Hope everyone has an awesome night...
