Mean girls
I am always amazed how mean and catty teenage girls can be. Who am I kidding? I know adults who fit still fit that description. My youngest daughter Foo Foo(15) has had Regina making her life miserable since November. Anyway they can make her cry or get upset, they do. She is by no means an angel. We have had a awful year and a half with her. ( I'll blog more on that when I get a chance. It's going to be a really long post.) It started with her and a good friend having a disagreement. Nothing major. Until Regina got involved. Why I have no idea. The good friend joined forces with a couple of other girls. They honestly go out of their way to make not only Foo's life horrible but now Tornado's. Ugh. Tornado(16) decided to be a great big sister and stand up for Foo and now they have other girls not talking to her. Today the mean girls verbally went after Foo and Tornado had enough of the crap and reported it to the guidance counseler. They want Foo to make a written statement about what happened. She doesn't want to because she is afraid of what the girls will do next. I can't say I blame her. I don't want to see the mean girls in trouble. I just want it to stop. The thing that is so frustrating is a month ago a boy from the high school committed suicide because he was bullied. WTHeck are these girls thinking????? Did I mention that the good friend's parents are the ones who camp with us?? Sigh. Advice? Anyone?

Mindless Mondays
We didn't have an exciting Monday here. Not that we ever do. Honestly Mondays are the worst day of the week for us. Some odd reason teenagers don't like getting up early on a Monday. HAHA! Bubby and I had company today. My youngest daughter(15) was home sick with allergies. I thought about sending her to school but you know what happens once you take allergy medicine. You pass out. I figured she was better off at home sleeping than in school drooling on her desk and the teacher stopping class so everyone could watch her sleep. Not that that has ever happened to me. ;)
The little guy and I went grocery shopping. That is always an experience! Shopping and being 3 years old do not go together. He's in a new phase where he just says whatever is on his mind. Including asking why a lady has hot pink hair. I think I have tried every distraction I can think of to get his mind off why someone has no teeth, hair, chains hanging off their wallets, and big bellies. If anyone has anymore ideas, please send them my way. I pretty much have to avoid going to the store that sells everything. You never know who/what you will see there. HAHA!
After g.shopping we went to Dunkin Donuts and got our free coffee. Did everyone get that in their newspaper 2 weeks ago? A free Iced Coffee drink on Mondays for several weeks. I love it!!!!! I am a total coffee drink freak. I'm not much of a soda drinker but coffee.....YUM!

Sharing
I realize I haven't written in a while. I have been struggling with things since I started this blog. How much do you share or not share? Being a mom to 3 teenager girls, I am aware of what happens when you share too much. After a lot of soul searching have decided that holding back is not who I am. So like it or not I am going to be sharing the good, the bad and the ugly. If you are parents of teenagers you know exactly what I am talking about! Look out world..........I'm back!

Tuesday
Yesterday we went into Pigeon Forge. I have to be honest. It was one of the worst towns I have ever been to. I was expecting it to be like Gatlinburg. It was nothing like it. It was shore town meets mountain town. I didn't take too many pictures here. I really hope Nashville isn't like this. I will be so disappointed. They do have a really cool Titanic museum. We tried to go into it but the wait was too long. We did eat at the Dixie Stampede. Oh my Gosh! We had a pre show before dinner. You are in one big room with drinks and listen to a trio play. They were really good. It was blue grass/country Tenn music. Loved it! When they were done we moved to the arena. The food was fabulous! Your meal consisted of creamy veggie soup, cheesy biscuit, a whole little chicken, a piece of pork loin, half a potato, corn on the cob and apple turnover for dessert. I never ate so much before in my life. LOL. There was a catch for dinner. NO SILVERWARE! You eat with your hands. The weirdest thing ever. The show was fabulous. Tornado and S were asked to be a part of the show. They won their horse foot race. It was so funny to see those two riding a horse on a stick. The Dixie Stampede is a very pricey place to eat but worth every penny. The only thing I was disappointed with is I didn't get to meet Dolly. LOL.
A western store so cute

Monday's fun
Monday we didn't do much. It was the first day we spent the whole day at the campground. The kids were playing in the creek behind our campsite when we realized there was a frog sitting on the rock the whole time. I'm not even sure if he noticed us either. Bubby got to do the thing he has asked to do since we got here. The water slide! Yes, the campground has its own waterside. 500 feet. He went down one time and that was it. He kept saying "I go to the pool now". Poor thing. The pool is really nice and clean! The girls spent a lot of time laying out. I think it's starting to get to them having their belly's pierced. Staying out of water for two weeks is hard. Esp when you are on vacation. We also drove thru/around the great Smokey National Park. The sights were unbelievable. I'm not sure what is on tap today. We have been talking about going to Pigeon Forge today so we will see. Enjoy the pictures!

Sunday's adventures
Setting up on Saturday
This is the house that's behind us. I thought it was the cutest thing
Weird place for fireworks
On the road to downtown Gaitlinburg
Almost there
I couldn't imagine what the view is like here
If you look closely you can see several houses on the hill.
Getting closer to the "city"
The weirdest intersection
We didn't go down this road yet.
Look at the huge houses on the hill!
Bubby not looking at the camera
Ripley's Aquarium
Bubby was so happy to see this Duck
He thought we came all this way just to see Ducks
Mama and her babies
The first h.house Kev and the girls went to
The bathrooms were just as scary as the house
Stores that opened up to this courtyard
If you look closely it looks like cracks in the building
Forrest Gump's restaurant and gift shop
The 2nd H.house they went into
I thought this was the coolest Burger King
The car was just his size no wonder he thought it was his
Another little shopping area off the main street
I thought they were the neatest things
Tornado's dream come true...meeting the blue M&M
Oh wait maybe it was Foo Foo's dream come true
Bubba Gump's shrimp
She looks a little too happy hugging that Shrimp
The guys dream come true
Mini golf on the hill
